Dylan Phillips is a part time elective teacher at The Piedmont School & John Yowell Academy, where he has been an integral part of the high school team since 2020. With a passion for woodshop, robotics, and computer technology, he is dedicated to a belief that kids have a right to have a good education to benefit them in their life after high school. He currently is teaching woodshop, robotics, and computer technology classes.
Dylan Phillips is completing his lateral entry degree in special education from WGU and has 5 years of experience in the field of education. He has also earned a degree in diesel mechanics and computer programming/engineering, which he leverages to teach proper steps to get the proper end result.
In addition to his role as an elective teacher, Dylan Phillips is involved in coaching the robotics team and serves as an assistant coach to Coach M. He enjoys working in the computer industry and working on projects around the home and believes with continued learning in the industry.
Dylan Phillips is committed to creating a positive, safe, and fun classroom. He finds it rewarding to collaborate with colleagues to become a better teacher, as well as to hear and see the students take what they have learned and apply it to real life instances.
